Autistic Burnout - RECOVERY

This week we talk about aiding recovery from autistic burnout - specifically how counsellors and psychotherapists can be helpful

Building upon the understanding of the state of complete mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion experienced by many autistic individuals due to prolonged stress and limited resources, we highlight the importance of recognising and addressing autistic burnout and outline strategies for recovery.

Autistic burnout is a critical phenomenon characterized by complete exhaustion resulting from chronic stress and a scarcity of essential resources. This state affects autistic individuals profoundly, often leading to detrimental consequences in various aspects of their lives, from education and careers to relationships and overall well-being.

When working with autistic adult clients, we can explore and gain an understanding of the triggers of burnout, and how to take action to minimise its disruptive impact and aid recovery.

This week's talk promises to be enlightening and transformative.
